**Brick Mortar** is a workable paste of cement, sand, lime, and water used to bind bricks or masonry blocks together, sealing joints and distributing structural loads uniformly.
Mortar Specifications (ASTM C270)
Standard mortar joints are 3/8 inches (10 mm) thick. ASTM C270 governs mortar mix types (M, S, N, O) based on required compressive strength and structural placement.
