Pipe Offset Calculator
Compute diagonal travel cut lengths, advance run distances, true offset dimensions, and roll angles for simple and rolling pipe offsets using standard fitting angles.
Calculation Results
Calculated travel length, run advance, and geometric results:
Worked Example: 45° Simple Pipe Offset
Suppose a 2-inch steel process pipe must offset around an 8-inch structural beam using 45° elbows, with a total required center-to-center offset set of 10 inches:
- Step 1 (Travel): Travel = Set × csc(45°) = 10.0 in × 1.4142 = 14.14 inches (approx. 14 1/8").
- Step 2 (Run): Run = Set × cot(45°) = 10.0 in × 1.0000 = 10.00 inches advance.
- Step 3 (Net Cut Length): Subtract fitting take-out (center-to-face) from 14.14" to find the raw pipe piece cut length.
