How to calculate cubic volume

For a box or slab, volume = length × width × height. For a cylinder, volume = π × radius² × height. Keep every dimension in the same unit, then read the result in cubic yards, cubic feet or cubic meters below. The classic site conversion: cubic feet ÷ 27 = cubic yards, because one cubic yard is a 3 ft × 3 ft × 3 ft block (27 ft³).
