At buildercalc.org, user privacy and data security are central to our architectural principles. We operate a privacy-first, cookieless estimation platform designed to safeguard contractor, trade, and engineering data.

buildercalc.org is owned and operated by Tech Labs FZ LLC, a free-zone limited liability company registered in the United Arab Emirates. 2. Applicable Privacy Frameworks

We conduct our data processing operations in strict compliance with applicable global and regional data protection regulations:

  • UAE PDPL: United Arab Emirates Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
  • EU GDPR & UK GDPR: General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and UK Data Protection Act 2018).
  • CCPA / CPRA: California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

3. Technical Architecture & Data Collection

Our web application is engineered on a client-side execution model for all mathematical calculations and trade estimators:

  • Client-Side Processing: All calculator inputs, dimensions, material selections, and formula outputs are processed strictly inside your web browser JS engine. No calculation data or job site parameters are transmitted to, logged on, or stored by our servers.
  • Cookieless Environment: We do not place persistent tracking cookies, marketing beacons, re-targeting pixels, or third-party profiling tags on your browser.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: We utilize privacy-preserving Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure site performance, aggregate page traffic trends, and bandwidth utilization. This service does not place cookies, does not collect personal identifiers, and anonymizes IP addresses at the Cloudflare edge. We do not load Google Analytics (GA4) or secondary tracking scripts.
  • Local Storage: User preferences (such as Imperial vs. Metric unit toggles or saved project preferences) are stored exclusively within your device's browser localStorage and are never sent externally.

4. Contact Form & Lead Processing

When you opt to submit an inquiry through our B2B inquiry form or request direct material calculation sheets:

  • Form Processing: Form submissions are posted securely via AJAX to our shared Cloudflare Worker backend (https://portfolio-forms-worker.alistar-concessio1.workers.dev/submit).
  • Anti-Bot Security: We deploy Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated spam. Turnstile validates browser integrity without tracking users across non-affiliated sites or placing persistent tracking cookies.
  • Email Delivery: Transactional communications and requested material summary sheets are delivered securely through Brevo (formerly Sendinblue).
  • Data Retention & Purpose: Collected personal data (name, email address, and message content) is used strictly to answer your direct requests. We strictly forbid the sale, rental, trade, or commercial distribution of user contact information to third-party insurance brokers, mortgage syndicates, or commercial advertisers.

5. Third-Party Infrastructure Vendors

We engage trusted infrastructure providers to host and secure our platform:

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: Provides static CDN hosting, DDoS protection, Turnstile bot validation, and privacy-focused Web Analytics (Cloudflare Privacy Policy).
  • Brevo (Sendinblue): Handles transactional email dispatch for lead forms and requested material summary sheets (Brevo Privacy Policy).

6. User Privacy Rights & Data Control

Under the UAE PDPL, EU GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA, you hold fundamental rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access & Portability: You may request a summary copy of any personal data submitted via our contact forms.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You may request the permanent deletion of your contact records from our email delivery partner.
  • Right to Rectification: You may request corrections to inaccurate personal contact information.
  • Opt-Out Rights: Every email dispatched includes a direct, single-click unsubscribe mechanism.
